    XLVets Skillnet held its first FarmSkills workshop on the farm of David and Fiona Murphy, Tallow, Co. Waterford. FarmSkills is a new training initiative that provises farmers with practical skills for pre-empting herd health problems. The training facilitator at the launch was Owen Atkinson and the attendees included Alan Jagoe, President of Macra na Feirme.

    Animal Health Laboratories in Bandon hosted an XLVets Skillnet event on the disease profiling of dairy herds based on routine bulk milk sampling and testing. The presenters on the day were Michael Sexton and Eamon Guinavin of Animal Health Laboratories, Donal Murph of Sliabh Luachra Veterinary Centre and Padraig Duggan of Killenaule Vets.
